Built by a cattle person, for cattle people

Cattle Market Mobile started as a learning project. I was teaching myself software development while trading cattle, and I needed something to build. An app that made market reports easier to access seemed like a natural fit — something I'd actually use while learning.

I grew up in Tennessee, following my Dad to the stockyard, watching him buy rough calves and turn them around. That's where I developed my own passion for the industry. The cattle business isn't just what I do — it's part of who I am. I know it's the same for a lot of you.

What started as a side project to learn software development gradually became something more. For years, I worked on the app nights and weekends while holding down a day job. In 2023, it became my full-time focus.

There's no big team behind Cattle Market Mobile — just me, with my wife's support and advice, and our three kids. My oldest son, Leland, has even served as a junior QA engineer from time to time. Every feature, every update, every support email comes from someone who genuinely cares about getting this right.

The goal has always been simple: give cattle producers the market data they need, when they need it, without the hassle. Whether you're checking prices at the sale barn, in the pasture, or at the kitchen table, the information should be there.
