Independent Ad Sales Representative — Cattle Market Mobile App (1099, Remote)
CattleSync, LLC publishes Cattle Market Mobile, a mobile app for the U.S. cattle industry. The app has ~40,000 monthly active users — cattle producers, order buyers, feedlot operators, ag lenders, and insurance agents who check it daily for USDA auction reports, CME futures, and LRP data. We're looking for an experienced independent sales representative with deep cattle industry roots to lead the ad sales function for the app.
The Role
This role is for someone who comes from the cattle industry and already knows the audience. You'll use the app yourself, get familiar with how producers and buyers rely on it, and shape the media kit and pricing structure to make sense for ag advertisers. CattleSync provides a working media kit as a starting point; you'll have meaningful input on how it's structured and what it includes.
This is a true independent contractor engagement. You control your schedule, methods, and territory. CattleSync manages ad serving, client invoicing, and contract execution so you can keep your focus entirely on the sales function itself.
- 1099 independent contractor: Remote, work your own schedule, and run your own sales process
- Non-exclusive arrangement: You may rep other non-competing ag or rural properties. CattleSync also reserves the right to engage additional sales representatives for the Properties, with clear account or territory boundaries to prevent overlap with your book
- Pipeline leadership: You drive the audience storytelling, pricing recommendations, prospecting, pitching, and account management, with input on the media kit's structure and content
- Pricing framework: You propose pricing structure; CattleSync approves the framework, and standard deals execute against it
- Contracts: All advertiser contracts and insertion orders are signed by CattleSync
- Direct line to the founder: Quick turnaround for closing calls, custom deal structuring, and strategic decisions
Compensation & Terms
- 25% commission on net collected revenue, paid monthly
- Additional performance bonus available
- Payment is guaranteed at collection. Flexible timing is available for established accounts with a strong payment history, at the founder's discretion
- Recoverable monthly draw available for candidates with a proven book of business
- 60-day post-termination commission tail on documented pipeline deals

Ideal Background
- Deep familiarity with the cattle industry: Producers, order buyers, feedlots, sale barns, animal health, or ag lending
- Existing relationships with cattle-industry advertisers and agencies (animal health, animal nutrition, livestock equipment, ag finance, crop insurance, genetics)
- Prior experience selling for ag media properties — print, digital, broadcast, or mobile
- Comfortable shaping a media kit and pricing structure based on advertiser needs
- Comfortable consultatively selling sponsorships and integrated placements
- Self-directed and able to operate independently in a small-publisher environment
- App familiarity: Must download and review Cattle Market Mobile prior to interviewing. Preference given to candidates who are already active users of the app.
