Compared to last week: best test on steers 750 to 849 lbs mostly steady on a narrow comparison and heifers not well compared. A larger offering this week with several strings of backgrounded steers and loads and packages of home raised cattle in town. Moderate to good demand for cattle today depending on flesh condition. Quite a bit of flesh and some tag at times, especially on cattle from backgrounding yards. Quality ranged from plain to attractive. An active market with the usual crowd of order buyers in the seats. Recent uncertainty on the futures complex has put a little pressure on the market, however, buyers seemed slightly less apprehensive than last week. Big swings in weather this week with a blizzard over the weekend to temps in the 60's today, yard conditions are muddy once again. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, March 27.
