Data sourced from USDA AMS
View USDA PDF VersionCompared to last week, calves sold mostly steady on a lighter test, yearling steers sold steady to 5.00 higher and yearling heifers sold 5.00-10.00 higher with several bought as replacements. Demand was good for a light supply as the wintry weather over the weekend likely affected the numbers of cattle brought to town, but several loads of yearlings were offered. The board has been very friendly to start the week with sizable gains both Monday and Tuesday and boxed beef has rallied as of late. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-6.00 higher, bulls 5.00-8.00 higher.
