View USDA PDF VersionCompared to the last sale two weeks ago, steer calves under 600 lbs and heifer calves under 550 lbs all sold with a sharply higher undertone on a light offering, with 600-700 lbs steers trading 10.00-15.00 higher along with 550-600 lb heifers and 650-700 lb heifers also selling 10.00-15.00 higher all other feeder cattle traded with a higher undertone on limited comparisons. Demand was good on a moderate offering with overall quality very good on the loads of heifers and yearling steers all selling with good weighing conditions. Several stick out sales included 61 steers weighing 650 lbs at 440.50, 65 steers weighing 819 lbs at 376.00, with 160 hd of heifers weighing 684 lbs at 384.50 and 158 hd of 729 lb heifers at 367.50. Slaughter cows on a light offering sold steady to firm.
