View USDA PDF VersionNo feeder cattle sale last week due to Thanksgiving, compared to two weeks ago: steers 500 to 649 lbs 20.00 to 30.00 higher. Best test on heifers 500 to 549 lbs steady. Good to very good demand for this nice offering of loads and packages featuring many attractive quality calves. One weaned consignment, weaned 50 days, with the rest of the calves still coming off the cow, most calves had full preconditioning or at least a complete round of fall shots. Flesh condition was mostly light to moderate plus with some fill on the calves at times. An active market assisted by gains in the feeder and live cattle futures again today. The weather has gotten cold and there is quite a bit of snow on the ground in this part of the country. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, December 11.
