Feeder steers and heifers weighing between 600 and 700 pounds traded 3.00 to 4.00 lower following last weeks big gains. Steer and heifer calves traded 20.00 to 30.00 higher. Increased buyer demand was noted on heifers. Trading activity was moderate to active. Slaughter cows and bulls were too lightly tested for a market trend. Another big run of bred cattle were on offer again today, with the majority of those consignments returning to the country again. High winds returned to the region over the weekend accompanied by a cold front. However, warmer temperatures are back in the forecast for the remainder of the week with no chance of precipitation.
